After a poor run of five winless fixtures, Ange Postecoglou's team has bounced back three wins in a row. They will be confident of getting three points against a team who have found it difficult to get going in recent fixtures.


Brighton suffered a setback with the loss of their skillful winger Kaoru Mitoma in the previous match due to an ankle injury. His return is uncertain.


Furthermore, De Zerbi faces the unavailability of several key players, including Solly March, Pervis Estupinan, Julio Enciso, Joel Veltman, Ansu Fati, Tariq Lamptey and Adam Webster.

In its most recent action on December 23, Tottenham beat Everton FC 2-1 at home. Everton FC outshot Tottenham 17 to 12. Heung Min Son (on one shot) and Richarlison de Andrade (on one shot) scored a goal apiece for Tottenham.


Spurs rode their luck at times in their last outing against Everton, but a 2-1 win secured a valuable three points to ensure they spent Christmas in the top four.


Ange Postecoglou confirmed ahead of this fixture that Cristian Romero could miss as many as five weeks with the injury that forced his withdrawal against Everton, leaving the Australian manager without both of his first-choice centre-halves. Destiny Udogie is back available after serving his suspension; Yves Bissouma is not.


Ange Postecoglou has named experimental, attacking line-ups in recent weeks to decent effect, and he will be determined to keep the newfound momentum flowing into 2024.


Ange Postecoglou's team are currently two points above Manchester City after Saturday's 2-1 win over Everton. Three points against the Seagulls could see them move five above Pep Guardiola's side, though the Citizens are in action themselves.


Brighton won't be an easy task with Roberto De Zerbi's side causing a number of teams problems already this season. However, the Seagulls, currently ninth in the Premier League table, have failed to win in their last three league games.


Having secured their spot in the Europa League knockout rounds, Brighton will now look to produce the same form that saw them finish sixth last time out.


Fortunately for Postecoglou, Spurs have discovered some impressive form in recent weeks. Having lost to West Ham at the start of the month, the north Londoners have won three on the bounce - including an emphatic win over Newcastle United.


The run of fixtures over the New Year sees Spurs face Bournemouth and Manchester United in the league. They will also start their FA Cup campaign against Burnley on Friday, January 5.


After a tricky run, Spurs appear to have turned a corner with three straight wins. But their victory over Everton before Christmas was not convincing as Ange Postecoglou’s side held on despite late pressure from the Toffees.


Brighton are capable of beating anyone on their day but they have found juggling Europa League football difficult this season. Two entertaining teams looking to play on the front foot, it should be a late Christmas cracker.


Brighton took on Crystal Palace away from home in its last game and the teams drew, 1-1. The Brighton side took 18 shots, outshooting Crystal Palace by five. Brighton got its lone goal from Daniel Nii Tackie Mensah Welbeck in that match versus Crystal Palace.
